Fervenza

History of Fervenza

Fervenza is an hydroelectric plant built in 1966 at the base of a dam with regulating reservoir.

Power plant facilities

  • The dam is 27 m high and the crest is 127 m long
  • The reservoir's capacity at normal maximum level is 104 hm3
  • The alternator has an apparent power of 6,000 KVA, although the power factor is very low (0.58), which results in an active power of approximately 3,600 KW
  • The plant's electricity generator transmits the electricity to the plant's power transformer, with a transformation ratio of 6/30 KV, for subsequent transference to the Puente Olveira substation
